Privacy policy

Last updated 11 October 2026

This policy explains how Prodio (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit our website, book a demo or use the Prodio service. We process personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Enquiries. When you book a demo or contact us: your name, work email, company, role, team size and your message.
  • Accounts. Your name, email address, sign-in details and the team you belong to.
  • Your content. Recordings, audio, the steps you take while recording (such as clicks and page changes), scripts, films and settings you create in Prodio.
  • Usage. Basic technical information such as browser type and the pages you visit, used to run and secure the service.

How we use it

  • To reply to enquiries and arrange demos, based on our legitimate interest in responding to you.
  • To provide the service you have asked for, under our contract with you or your organisation.
  • To keep Prodio secure, prevent abuse and fix problems, based on our legitimate interests.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as accounting and tax records.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your recordings to train AI models.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run Prodio, each under contract and only for the purpose of providing the service. They fall into these categories: cloud hosting, storage and sign-in; AI services that help write, design and voice your films; and speech transcription. A current list of sub-processors is available on request from info@prodio.tech. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to two years unless you become a customer. Account data and content are kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted or anonymised after it closes, unless we must keep something by law.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email info@prodio.tech. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to sign you in and remember your preferences, such as your theme and active team. We do not use advertising cookies.
